| Brantford Christian School has been
a blessing to our family for 28 years, first for
our four children and currently for three of our
grandchildren (so far). We are thankful to have
a school that supports the values taught in our
home, through the dedication, love and care of
all the staff. It has been the best investment
in the lives of our children. We must also give
thanks to God for His faithfulness from
generation to generation.

Moving schools was pretty traumatic for me,
being shy and unconfident. My previous school
was larger and a bit uptight. My first day here
was frightening as I stood alone and nauseous
but immediately I felt at home. The environment
here is so welcoming. I am treated as a person
and not persecuted for my ideas and struggles.
The teachers are friendly and care for their
students. Christian aspects are imbedded into
all subjects but we are still allowed to explore
other views. My thoughts are listened to and my
questions are answered. The thing I’ve noticed
most is people are who they are here they don’t
struggle to be someone they are not. People are
confident and they voice their true opinions.
Being here has really opened my eyes to new
things and has made me a lot more sure of myself

When I first moved here from my previous school
I was scared half to death, meeting new people
was difficult for me, but the welcome I received
was amazing. Random people from higher and lower
grades came to welcome me, something that would
have never happened at my old school. That first
day I already had a group of friends to hang out
with. In my old school I always struggled with
my math and the teachers there didn’t seem to
understand my needs. BCS has a whole different
feeling. When I came I felt as though I could
ask the teachers the questions I had without
feeling as though I were stupid. I felt totally
comfortable with my classmates and I loved the
way the teachers felt free to joke around with
the students.

I believe that students become teachers because
they were inspired by an educator from their
past. I am very excited about the future
teachers, being inspired by the staff at
Brantford Christian School.
What a beautiful illustration of Luke 8:15 "But
the seed on good soil stands for those with a
noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain
it, and by persevering produce a crop."

I am a single mother, who never imagined private
school as a viable option. As my daughter
approached school age, I was introduced to the
Ontario Alliance of Christian Schools. With very
little shuffling, I was able to substitute
"Daycare" with "Tuition" in my household budget.
To this day, that is one of the best decisions I
have ever made. Each time I have a setback or
need to re-evaluate finances, I look at my now
teenager who has faith, integrity and is eager
to learn. Priceless.

I am a BCS parent. I love knowing that how we
live and what we teach our children at home is
being continued at school. I love knowing that
my children are being encouraged to grow and
develop as their own, unique image-bearers of
God. I love knowing that each friend my child
makes has a family that also holds these
beliefs.
I know these things because I am a BCS teacher.
Each day I walk into our school and see the
Spirit at work. Teachers and students are happy.
There are smiles and laughter. There is
excitement and energy. At times, there is
sadness and hurt. There is always a genuine love
and respect between teachers and students. As we
teach, learn, guide and grow we recognize that
it is for His purpose and to His glory we work
and play.
